Bernschlag is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Allentsteig municipality in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 69 building areas with 40,551 m² and 49 gardens on 10,258 m² in the cadastral community of Bernschlag , in 1989/1990 there were 72 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 175 and in 2009/2010 there were 73 buildings on 182 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 401 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 240 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 398 hectares and 243 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 386 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 245 hectares. The average soil climate number of Bernschlag is 25.7 (as of 2010).
