Zwinzen is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Allentsteig municipality in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 46 building areas with 27,664 m² and 30 gardens on 15,329 m² in the cadastral community of Zwinzen , in 1989/1990 there were 48 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 112 and in 2009/2010 there were 51 buildings on 111 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 233 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 68 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 227 hectares and 74 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 223 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 74 hectares. The average soil climate of Zwinzen is 25.6 (as of 2010).
