history
In 1854 the judicial district of Heidenreichstein was dissolved. In 1992 the judicial districts of Litschau (communities Eggern , Eisgarn , Haugschlag , Heidenreichstein , Litschau and Reingers ), Schrems (communities Amaliendorf-Aalfang , Brand-Nagelberg , Kirchberg am Walde , Hirschbach and Schrems ) and Weitra (communities Bad Großpertholz , Großschönau , Moorbad Harbach , St. Martin , Unserfrau-Altweitra and Weitra ) dissolved and added to the judicial district of Gmünd in Lower Austria.
