history
The political district of Scheibbs was founded in 1850 and at that time included the judicial districts of Scheibbs, Gaming and Mank (now Melk district ). After the gaming district was dissolved in the 20th century and the Mank district was spun off into the political district of Melk, today's Scheibbs district was created.
