José Aurelio Rozo Gutiérrez SMM (born March 19, 1933 - June 10, 2019 ) was a Colombian religious and Roman Catholic Apostolic Prefect of Vichada .

Life

José Alberto Rozo Gutiérrez joined the religious order of the Montfortaner and was ordained a priest on August 9, 1959 . Pope Paul VI appointed him on May 6, 1977 as Apostolic Prefect of Vichada.

On December 22, 1999, Pope John Paul II abolished the Apostolic Prefecture of Vichada and accepted his resignation at the same time. The territory of the prefecture was incorporated into the Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Carreño, which was established on the same date .
