Hurnet Dekkers

Hurnet Nicoret Dekkers (born May 8, 1974 in Rossum , Maasdriel ) is a former Dutch rower who won an Olympic bronze medal in eighth .

The 1.93 m tall Hurnet Dekkers from the Amsterdam rowing club RV Skøll reached the B-final in a single at the 2002 World Championships and finished ninth in the overall standings. In 2003 she switched to the quad scull and also finished ninth in this boat class at the 2003 World Championships . The World Cup season review 2004 began Hurnet Dekkers in the quadruple sculls, with whom she took fourth and sixth place. In the third regatta, she rowed the Dutch eight to second place behind the US boat. At the 2004 Olympic Games, the Romanians won, behind the US eight, the Dutch women won the bronze medal with Froukje Wegman , Marlies Smulders , Nienke Hommes , Hurnet Dekkers, Annemarieke van Rumpt , Annemiek de Haan , Sarah Siegelaar , Helen Tanger and taxwoman Ester Workel . In 2005 Dekkers started in double sculls, but returned to eighth in the second World Cup regatta. At the 2005 World Championships, the Dutch eighth won the bronze medal behind Australia and Romania. In 2007 Hurnet Dekkers returned to eighth and finished seventh at the World Championships in Munich .
