Diana Andalò

Diana Andalò († June 10, 1236 in Bologna , Italy ) built the Agnes Monastery in Bologna in 1223 with the help of the order general of the Dominicans Jordan of Saxony , where she introduced the Dominican rule.

The fifty or so letters from Jordan to Diana bear witness to an ideal friendship. Diana Andalò is usually shown in religious habit with a Madonna lily .

In 1891 she was founded by Pope Leo XIII. beatified .
