The Dibble Basin is a lake basin off the Clarie coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland .

It has been named since 1971 based on the name of the Dibble Glacier . Its namesake is Jonas Dibble (1803–1885), ship's carpenter on board the Peacock in the United States Exploring Expedition (1838–1842) under the direction of the American polar explorer Charles Wilkes .
