The Dibble Glacier is a prominent glacier on the Clarie coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It flows from the continental ice cap in a northerly direction to the east side of Davis Bay , into which it runs out in the form of a glacier tongue . The seaward end of this glacier tongue is called the Dibble iceberg tongue .

Aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947) were used to map it. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the glacier and the glacier tongue in 1955 and the iceberg tongue in 1962 after Jonas Dibble (1803-1885), ship's carpenter on board the Peacock in the United States Exploring Expedition (1838-1842) under the direction of the US polar explorer Charles Wilkes .
