Dichrorampha sequana has a wingspan of 9 to 11 millimeters. In the rear of the disk region there is a large cream-colored or white spot that extends to the rear edge of the wing. In the sitting posture, the spots on the two front wings "fuse" into a broad band. This is where the butterflies can be easily recognized. The outer area of ​​the forewings is gold colored with numerous black dots. There are also several elongated blue stripes running across this area.
