Dicotilo

Dicotilo was a Greek measure of volume in the Ionian Islands and was used for dry goods and liquids. From 1829 onwards, the English measurements were used on the islands. Dicotilo was equated with the English pint.

The dimensional chain was

  • 1 barila = 4 metri = 16 dicotili
  • 1 gallon ionio = 8 dicotili = 1 imperial gallon
  • 1 chilo = 64 dicotili
