Chilo
Chilo , also called kilo , was originally a Turkish volume and grain measure on the island of Cerigo in the Ionian Islands and corresponded to 35.266 to 37.12 liters
- 1 chilo = 8 gallons = 64 dicotili
- 1 chilo = 1776.4 Parisian cubic inches = 35.237 liters (= 36.3476 liters)
It was also a volume measure for grain in Romania . Different names existed: Chila, Kilo, Kila Kile.
- Wallachia : 1 chilo = 8 banniza = 3.9 hectoliters
- Moldovan and Galician areas : 1 Chilo = 2 Merza = 20 Banniza = 4.2 hectoliters
- Jassy : 1 chilo = 22 banniza = 4.6 hectoliters
