Chilo

Chilo , also called kilo , was originally a Turkish volume and grain measure on the island of Cerigo in the Ionian Islands and corresponded to 35.266 to 37.12 liters

  • 1 chilo = 8 gallons = 64 dicotili
  • 1 chilo = 1776.4 Parisian cubic inches = 35.237 liters (= 36.3476 liters)

It was also a volume measure for grain in Romania . Different names existed: Chila, Kilo, Kila Kile.
