The 100 things in the world

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 100… Things of the World is a book series produced by ArsEdition in German.

Structure of a book

The books are guides that teach the reader how to behave in certain situations or how to avoid them. These can be the presence of wild animals, natural disasters, and disease. There is usually a page dedicated to a topic with a description, a rating and small text boxes with notes in the margin . Only in the issue “The Top 100 Most Dangerous Creatures in the World” are four examples in chronological order on one page, while the tip holder can be seen on the next page. In the book, for the first time, a chronological list of the best creatures from the book can be seen at the end, while in the other books it is up to the reader to rate things chronologically based on the number of points or percentage evaluation.

reception

The Reading Foundation recommends the book The 100 most terrifying things in the world despite the restless layout for children from 9 to 10 years of age, especially boys “who want to learn to be afraid”. It is also suitable for "stubborn non-readers".

The published by A & C Black Publishers original edition of the 100 most dangerous things in the world ( 100 Most Dangerous Things on the Planet ) came in 2009 to the shortlist for the Blue Peter Book Award in the category "Best Book with Facts" and for the Children's Choice Book Award in the “Fifth Grade to Sixth Grade Book of the Year” category.
