The Adventures of Professor Thompson (original title: Las Aventuras del Profesor Thompson) is a Spanish cartoon series that was produced between 1994 and 1995 .

Thompson, an archaeologist professor, discovered part of a magical metal pyramid during excavations in Egypt. To complete this, however, he needs two more parts to assemble the “chariot of Osiris ”, which is a pyramid that enables him to travel through time. However, if it is not complete, the time travel cannot be steered and monitored. So it happens that he and his three friends Pharao, Sepis and Porotosis travel across world history and experience many adventures. The unscrupulous Frida and the inventor Otto, who often meet and get in each other's way, are also interested in the “chariot of Osiris”.

Production and publication

The series was produced in Spain between 1994 and 1995. This resulted in 26 episodes. The German first broadcast took place on April 27, 1995 on RTL II . The series was also broadcast in England , France , Poland and Sri Lanka .
