The Adventures of the Young Marco Polo (English title: The Travels of the Young Marco Polo ) is an animated series from 2013 that deals with a fictional child-like portrayal of the Venetian dealer Marco Polo .

In the 13th century, ten-year-old Marco Polo embarked on a journey of many adventures in order to find his father Niccolò Polo, who was lost on a trade trip in the Far East . He is accompanied by his friend Lugi and the Chinese princess Shi La Won. During their adventures they often come across myths and legends , foreign cultures and exotic places and make new friends.
Production and publication
The German first broadcast took place on December 1, 2013 in KiKA and was broadcast daily from there until December 26. Two season with 52 episodes was produced on April 26, 2014 on ARD as part of the children's program Check Eins . The new 2nd season starts on December 19, 2018
Directed by Tony Loeser, Lutz Stützner and Dave Barton Thomas. On screenplay Stefan Weigl were Anke Klemm, John Chambers, Françoise Charpiat and Régis Faller involved. Andreas Hoge was responsible for the music .
