The Alpenrammler are a German rock / hit duo . It was founded in 1997 by the two musicians Holger Kysela and Alex Havrilla in Starnberg . The band's musical repertoire is limited to popular hit songs, which are re-recorded in rock style with frivolous and cheeky lyrics.
The duo became known nationwide in the spring of 1998 with the title Lieschen, Lieschen , an adaptation of the anvil polka . After the song first became popular on the ski slopes of the Alpine region during the winter season 1997/98, it reached the German charts as a single after it was released. Another hit single, based on a similar pattern, was released in early 1999. When the third single hardly sold any more, the Alpenrammler switched from the Polydor record company to the DA Music label in Diepholz . The band's first album entitled Freudenhaus was released here in autumn 2000 . In April 2013 the album Knüppel strack dich! published, which contains almost all titles published so far.
