The lady tells how she lives on the legacy of her father and her husband as a well-known seamstress, until an ugly old woman asks her to a wedding. There she is immediately taken by a handsome young man as his wife and under an oath not to look at anyone else. But a dealer insists on a kiss for his fabric and bites her cheek. She doesn't want to tell her husband and gets tangled up in contradictions. He has her grabbed, wants to have her killed, at the request of the old woman she is only beaten unconscious. She goes to her sister.
The caliph learns that her husband is his son and renews the marriage.
