The coast of the Barbarians (Original title: Barbary Coast ) is an American Western - television series , from 1975 and 1976 13 episodes of 45 minutes each and a 90-minute pilot episode directed by Bill Bixby emerged. In Germany, ZDF showed six episodes in out of chronological order in 1978, and in 1990 the series was broadcast in full on ProSieben .

action

In historical San Francisco of the 19th century , rough customs still prevail due to roaming gold diggers , adventurers and gunslingers . The secret agent Jeff Cable works on behalf of the Governor of California to fight various fraudsters in the entertainment district and to retrieve stolen items. For this he slips into different roles and uses various disguises. At his side is his old friend, the player and saloon owner Cash Conover, who is always involuntarily involved by Cable.

Pilot film

There is still no German dubbing of the pilot film. On the DVD box released in Germany in 2015, the original American version has German subtitles instead. The role of the cash conover is played differently to the series by Dennis Cole .
