Die Neue was a small-format regional Tyrolean daily newspaper published by Moser Holding . It was founded in 2004 with the aim of no longer leaving the boulevard segment in Tyrol to the Kronen Zeitung alone . The new Vorarlberger Tageszeitung is the role model for the newcomers in terms of strategy and presentation .

According to the Austrian circulation control , the new one had a print run of around 33,000 copies, of which just under 8,000 were sold. The newspaper was cooperative members of the Austria Press Agency .

On March 31, 2008 the new one appeared for the last time. In the future, Moser Holding will rely on a so-called one-brand strategy. All concentration was directed to the flagship, the Tyrolean daily newspaper , and the online area. The free newspaper TT Kompakt , which was introduced a short time later, is an indirect successor to the new one .
