The hands of the clock

The hands of the clock is a German-language song with which Margot Eskens made the German contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest in 1966 .

The song received the starting number 1 and thus opened the competition. It received seven points, five of them from Switzerland and one point each from Belgium and Italy. The title thus took 10th place (in a field of 18 participants). The music was composed by Walter Dobschinski , the text came from the pen of Hans Bradtke .
