Walter Dobschinski

Walter Dobschinski (actually: Dobrczinski ; born October 29, 1908 in Berlin ; † 1996 ) was a German trombonist , bassist , composer , arranger and band leader .

Live and act

He studied music and harmony at the Berlin Conservatory . Before the Second World War he played in Teddy Stauffer's orchestra , during the war with Kurt Hohenberger in the German Dance and Entertainment Orchestra and with Henk Bruyns . In 1947 he came to the Berliner Rundfunk and put together his swing band from the musicians of the RBT orchestra (who played in both formations) and some additional musicians such as the trumpeter Macky Kasper . From February 1947 to June 1949 (and then in a single recording session in May 1954) he recorded a lot of titles for Amiga , but also for other record companies. One of his most famous pieces is the Dob's (chinskis) boogie .
