Peter H. Rebhuhn (* 1907 , † after 1968) was a German singer , songwriter and composer .

biography

Partridge performed as a singer in Berlin bars in the 1930s. As early as 1931 he is said to have had his first recordings as a chorus singer in larger orchestras. After the Second World War and his release from captivity , he worked as a singer in Hamburg for the Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk and in the Crusader Club with the Walter Jenson show orchestra before moving to Berlin in 1946. In 1947 he had his greatest success with the German version of Chattanooga Choo Choo , which he sang as a duet with Bully Buhlan . In addition to this recording, Partridge and Buhlan also recorded a German parody on it under the title Kötzschenbroda-Express . In the following years Partridge published various song interpretations as a soloist or in a duet, for example with Undine von Medvey . ( Come with me to Tahiti ), Partridge also wrote songs and instrumental pieces together with Gerhard Wehner himself, such as Nice that you are with me again (1939), Katharina (1950) and Dear Miss Inge (1950). In contrast to the much younger Buhlan, Partridge was no longer able to build a long-lasting career in the record industry. In the late 1960s, he recorded one last record with eight swing songs.

In addition to his work as a singer, he also worked as a spokesman for radio and film dubbing. He lent his voice to one of the crows for the second German version of the Disney classic Dumbo produced by Simoton Film GmbH .
