Louise Jacobs

Louise Sophie Jacobs (born September 9, 1982 in Zurich ) is a German-speaking author .

Life

She comes from the Jacobs family of entrepreneurs, who are primarily known for their coffee trade . She grew up with five siblings in Switzerland and later went to school in the USA and Berlin. She then completed internships at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the magazine Cicero in Potsdam .

At the age of 22, Jacobs wrote her first book Café Heimat (published in 2006) about the history of her family and made it to number two on the Spiegel bestseller list. Her second book, the novel parlor games (2007) takes place in the German art scene. Her third book Fräulein Jacobs does not work is autobiographical and reflects on her childhood, shaped by her school days, which she found very depressing as a person with learning difficulties .

Louise Jacobs lives with her husband in the state of Vermont , USA .
