The crazy Holidays ( English. The Roman Holidays ) is an American animated series by the Hanna Barbera studios. The series is about the life of Gus Holidays in ancient Rome, who is in constant trouble with his host Evictus and his family.

Gus Holiday lives with his wife Laurie and their children in a rented apartment in ancient Rome. Among the children, the youngest, Precocia, is the most intelligent. Son Happius and his girlfriend Groovia, both teenagers, often cause trouble. In addition, the house lion Brutus lives with the family. Gus often argues with his landlord Evictus, and he also has a hard time at work, building the forum as a marble lifter.

Production and publication

The series was produced in 1972 by Hanna Barbera Studios under the direction and concept of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The music was composed by Hoyt Curtin. It was first broadcast on September 9, 1972 on NBC in the United States.

The series has been translated into Spanish and Portuguese. A German translation was first broadcast by RTLplus on April 29, 1989 . This was followed by several repetitions on different stations.
