The transformed mouse is a fairy tale ( AaTh 2031 C). content

A hermit raises a mouse that fell out of the talons of a sparrowhawk as a daughter. Since she wants to marry “only the highest ruler”, he goes to the sun, which sends him to the cloud guide, the one to the father of the winds and the one to the mountain. This ultimately refers to the mouse that builds apartments in it. So the girl is transformed back into a mouse and married to a mouse.

origin

The animal tale tells, at least with Bechstein, the advisor to the eagle king, who does not believe that the raven really would have defected to them. Like the previous ones, it comes from Antonius von Pforr's The Book of Examples of the Ancient Sages , a transmission of the Indian Panchatantra .
