Diedrich Hinrichs

Diedrich Hinrichs (born December 11, 1921 in Buchholz in the Nordheide ; † July 20, 2007 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Hinrichs passed his Abitur and then began an internship as a mechanical engineer. Between 1940 and 1945 he was a combat pilot in the Second World War . After the war ended, he began studying geography, marine physics, history, German and philosophy in Hamburg. Here he passed the state examination for the higher teaching post and entered the school service in Lower Saxony in 1951. The doctorate teacher held his last position as senior teacher at the Halepaghenschule in Buxtehude . In addition to teaching, he worked as a journalist and writer. Hinrichs was a member of the Education and Science Union and joined the SPD in 1957.

Public offices

As early as 1961, Hinrichs became a member of the Buxtehude city council as well as an alderman and parliamentary group spokesman for the SPD. He was also a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from November 16, 1970 to June 20, 1978 in the seventh to eighth electoral term . Here he was chairman of the cultural committee between December 5, 1972 and June 20, 1974.
