Diego Ares (born September 29, 1986 in Santos ) is a Brazilian road cyclist who was suspended for two years for doping .

Life

Diego Ares won the 2011 Tour do Brasil Volta Ciclística de São Paulo-Internacional for the team GRCE Memorial / Pref Santos / Giant driving the seventh stage to Campos do Jordão . By winning the only mountain stage, he was fourth in the overall standings and won the mountain standings . In the 2012 season he was first in the Volta Cidade Morena .

In 2013 Ares drove for the Austrian Continental Team Vorarlberg , but could not achieve any top placements in international races. He moved to the Brazilian team Memorial-Prefeitura de Santos in 2014 .
