Service van's Lands Bosbeheer

The service van's Lands Bosbeheer (LBB) is a public hunting and forest management in Suriname .

LBB is part of the Ministry for Ruimtelijke Ordening, Grond- en Bosbeheer (regional planning, land and forest management, previously affiliated to the Ministry for Natuurlijke Hulpbronnen , natural resources ) and was set up in 1947 to manage the biodiversity of Suriname.

According to the Nature Conservation Act of 1954, it is primarily responsible for the protection and administration of nature reserves - see list of nature reserves in Suriname . According to this law, it is punishable to deliberately or negligently harm the soil condition, the natural beauty, the flora , the fauna and the value of the reserves. Camping, making a fire, felling trees and burning charcoal is also prohibited without the consent of the LBB. After all, it is forbidden to hunt, fish, carry dogs and carry rifles or hunting and catching equipment without the permission of the state of Bosbeheer .

Hunting and bush guards are used for control.
