Service award cross for officers (Anhalt-Köthen)

The service award cross for officers was donated on October 29, 1847 by Duke Heinrich von Anhalt-Koethen together with the service award buckle for NCOs and men.

The cross could be awarded to all perfectly serving officers of the Köthen military after 25 years of service. The crediting of periods of service in foreign military service was excluded.

The medal is an eight-pointed St. John's cross made of gold-plated bronze. In the center of the white enamel medallion is the golden initial H (Heinrich), surmounted by a ducal crown. On the back the Roman numerals XXV .

The award was worn on a light green ribbon on the left chest.

On April 17, 1855, the award was stopped by ordinance of Duke Leopold IV. Friedrich after the unification to the Duchy of Anhalt.
