The federal service flag (short: federal service flag ) shows the Austrian federal coat of arms , which extends evenly into the two red stripes of the national flag. The upper beak edge of the national coat of arms should end with the upper red stripe and the handle end of the hammer should touch the lower red stripe. The unauthorized use (use) of the federal official flag is an administrative offense that can be punished with an administrative fine of up to 3,600 euros.
