Please note the note on the applicable legal version.

The Ordinance on the Granting of Jubilee Benefits (DJubV) regulates the granting of jubilee benefits to civil servants , soldiers and judges in the Federal Republic of Germany .

The entitlement to anniversary bonuses is based on Section 84 of the Federal Civil Service Act and Section 30 (4) of the Soldiers Act . The grant is after a period of service of

  • 25 years 350 euros ,
  • 40 years 500 euros,
  • 50 years 600 euros.

The granting of the grant will be postponed if and as long as criminal or disciplinary proceedings are pending against the anniversary employee ( Section 5 (1) DJubV ). This is to avoid possible contradictions in assessment - recognition of loyal service on the one hand, imposition of disciplinary measures for breaches of duty on the other.

The forerunners of the Anniversary Service Ordinance were the Ordinance on the Granting of Anniversary Benefits to Federal Civil Servants and Judges in the version of the announcement of March 13, 1990 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 487) and the Soldier Anniversary Ordinance of July 24, 2002 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 2806 ). Both ordinances were repealed by § 7 DJubV.
