Service pistol (sport discipline)

The Association of Military and Police Riflemen offers three shooting sports disciplines, which are specially designed for service pistols.

Service pistol 1

All serially produced service pistols with a caliber between .25 and .456 that have been or are used by the police and customs authorities or a regular army are permitted in this discipline.

You may only shoot with the original sight (no micrometer sight) and the trigger pull must be at least 1,360 g.

The discipline can also be shot in a variant for pistols with a development status of 1945.

Target: ISSF target, 25 m away

Attack: one or two handed

Trial shots: 5 shots in 5 minutes

Scoring: 3 series of 5 shots each are fired within 15 minutes.

Service pistol 2

All serially produced service pistols with a caliber between .25 and .456 that have been or are used by the police and customs authorities or a regular army are permitted in this discipline.

The sights may be adjustable, micrometer sights are permitted. A trigger stop is permitted. Grips may be replaced. Sports grips and orthopedic grips are not allowed.

Target and process correspond to the discipline service pistol 1.

Service pistol 3

Approved, in this discipline all unchanged guns with shoulder stock . The caliber must be between .25 and .456. The trigger weight must be at least 1,360 g.

Target: ISSF target, 25 m distance

Stop: one or two-handed, the stop shaft must be attached to the shoulder.

Trial shots: 5 shots in 5 minutes

Rating: 15 shots in 3 short-term series

  • 5 shots in 60 seconds
