The Diepholzer Baggersee is a quarry pond in the west of the city of Diepholz , Lower Saxony . It is located immediately west of the federal highway 51 .
The lake is used by the Diepholz sports fishing club as a fishing lake. Bathing in the lake is officially forbidden, but the lake is known as a bathing lake and there is a lively bathing activity in summer. Problems with garbage and nocturnal restlessness also often arise.
The Diepholz model building association uses the lake to operate model construction ships .
