Dieter Ahrendt (born February 16, 1936 ) is a former German soccer player . Ahrendt played 29 league games for VfB Stuttgart from 1957 to 1961 in what was then the first-class soccer Oberliga Süd .

Athletic career

Ahrendt played for VfB Stuttgart when he was young . For the 1957/58 season he was taken over into the first team in the Oberliga Süd . In addition, VfB signed the two former Olympic amateurs from 1956, Rolf Geiger (Stuttgarter Kickers) and Rudolf Hoffmann (Viktoria Aschaffenburg). Since both hopeful newcomers had to serve a several-month ban from the DFB due to prohibited financial contributions, the league round was unsatisfactory and ended in 9th place. The former youth player Ahrendt came under coach Georg Wurzer on December 8, 1957 in a 1-1 draw at Jahn Regensburg for his debut in the Oberliga Süd. He played right outside runner alongside Rolf Blessing and Wolfgang Simon . In his second round, 1958/59, he was only used in one game in the association round. In Georg Wurzer's last coaching year, 1959/60, Ahrendt was one of the regular players with 18 league appearances, and VfB came in seventh. Under Wurzer's successor Kurt Baluse , it was only enough for two missions in 1960/61; the last league use was dated February 26, 1961 in a 2-2 away draw against 1. FC Nürnberg. Before goalkeeper Günter Sawitzki he formed the defender pair with Rolf Eisele .

In the 1961/62 season he was no longer used; in February 1962 he ended his career as a football player.
