Dieter Dekelver (born August 17, 1979 in Beringen ) is a former Belgian football player .

Career

Dekelver began his career at the age of seven at the now defunct football club Eendracht Gerhees Oostham and at the age of twelve moved to the youth department of SK Lommel , where he played in the second division from 1997 to 2002 . In January 2003 he moved to KFC Strombeek, which became FC Brussels that same year after the merger with RWD Molenbeek . When the club rose to the first division in 2004, Dekelver left the team and moved to Cercle Bruges . Dekelver was successful there and twice became his team's top scorer. From January 2007 to summer 2012 Dekelver played with the shirt number 7 for the KVC Westerlo. In the summer of 2012 he finally moved to the second highest Belgian football league at Lommel United . There the player ended his active career a year later.
