Dieter Krauter

Dieter Krauter (born January 13, 1926 in Stuttgart ; † April 22, 2007 ibid) was a German microbiologist and editor of the magazine Mikrokosmos . He was a co-author of the standard microbiological work Life in Water Drops .

Dieter Krauter studied zoology and other subjects at the TH Stuttgart . He received his doctorate in 1951 on the subject of over the head kidneys of bony fish . Dieter Krauter's Rigorosum covered the subjects zoology, botany and geology.

Immediately after his doctorate, Krauter became the editor of the magazine Mikrokosmos from 1951/52. He held this position for 41 years.
