Dieter Nusterer

Dieter Nusterer (born November 12, 1971 in St. Pölten ) is a former Austrian basketball player .

career

Nusterer comes from the St. Pölten youth work. In 1990 the 2.13 meter tall indoor player rose to the Bundesliga with the men's team from UKJ St. Pölten . In 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998 and 1999 he was Austrian national champion with St. Pölten. He won the cup competition in 1994, 1996 and 1998. He also competed with the team in the European Cup. His Bundesliga time was interrupted in the 1996/97 season when he played for the national division UBBC Herzogenburg. In the course of his career, he turned down offers from abroad (including in 1996 from the German Bundesliga promoted Telekom Baskets Bonn ). In 2000 Nusterer ended his Bundesliga career.

In 2007 Nusterer was one of the founders of the UKJ successor club UBC St. Pölten and was chairman of the club until 2013.

National team

Nusterer was an Austrian team player and played for the team in European Championship qualifiers.
