Dieter Röttger
Dieter Röttger (born February 1, 1930 in Hamburg ; † August 18, 2003 in Keitum on Sylt ) was a north German painter and graphic artist .
He dealt with forms, structures and sequences of movements. Numerous etchings, ink brush drawings, acrylic paintings and ceramics were created. The works of art are reminiscent of plants, moths, aquatic animals and birds, but also of star births, mushroom clouds, clouds and the musculoskeletal system of humans and horses. If you look at the sky in stormy weather or the sunrise and sunset on the North Sea and in the Wadden Sea, you will be able to recognize the typical "Röttger clouds".
Röttger's works are exhibited in the Kiel State Museum and the Hamburger Kunsthalle , among others .
