Dietmar Katzy

Dietmar Katzy (born July 18, 1935 in Mährisch-Ostrau ; † July 18, 2013 in Aachen ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Dietmar Katzy received his secondary school leaving certificate in 1953. He then completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter from 1953 to 1956. He passed the skilled worker examination in 1956. Until 1958 he worked as a machine fitter and toolmaker . In 1958 he obtained the Abitur at the Aachen evening high school. From 1958 to 1961 he studied to become a trade teacher. In 1961 the first state examination and in 1963 the second state examination for teaching at vocational schools took place. This was followed by teaching and training for trainee students from 1963 to 1975. From 1968 Katzy was head of department at the district seminar for the teaching post at vocational schools in Aachen and from 1971 director of studies as head of department at a district seminar. Other activities: Since 1969 member of various guideline commissions, 1972 to 1975 member of the textbook commission for political education in North Rhine-Westphalia and its chairman from 1974 to 1975. Katzy was retired in 1975 according to the state legal status law, in 1980 he resigned from office according to § 32 des Deputies Act (AbgG NW).

Dietmar Katzy had been a member of the CDU since 1961. He became a member of the district committee of the CDU Aachen-Stadt and a member of the Christian Democratic Workforce (CDA). From 1972 he was a member of the city council of Aachen, from 1979 deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the council. Katzy was a member of the Christian Democratic Workforce (CDA).

From May 28, 1975 to May 29, 1985, Dietmar Katzy was a directly elected member of the 8th and 9th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 001 Aachen-Stadt I and constituency 001 Aachen I.
