Dietmar Schneider (born December 7, 1974 ) is a former Austrian cyclist from RC Höchst .

Career

In 1998 Dietmar Schneider took part in a world championship for the first time and won a bronze medal there. In the following twelve years he and various partners won seven further bronze and two silver medals.

In 2011 he won gold for the first time with his young partner Patrick Schnetzer . This was also the first time that an Austrian cycling duo won the world championship.

At the beginning of 2013 he ended his career after more than 30 years. With twelve World Cup medals and two overall World Cup victories, he is the most successful Austrian cyclist. With a total of 14 World Cup tournament victories, he is also the most successful World Cup participant in the world.
