The 2012 European Cycle Ball Cup was the 46th edition of the European Cup . The tournament took place on May 19, 2012 in Sindelfingen .

The defending champion was the RC Höchst 2 from Austria , who won the silver medal this year. The winner was RV Gärtringen from Germany .

Two teams from each of the three best European nations according to the 2011 World Cup are eligible to participate . One team from each of the following three nations is eligible to participate. Which teams are allowed to contest the European Cup is then decided by the national cup. The last team is nominated by the organizer by wildcard .

The ten teams are divided into two groups of five. Within a group everyone plays against everyone once. Then the fifth placed in the two groups play for 9th and 10th place, the two fourth placed for 7th and 8th place and the two third placed for 5th and 6th place. The winners of both groups qualify for the final round. The final round will be played again as a round robin , whereby the results from the preliminary round will be adopted and these games will not be played again.
