Simon König (* 1985 ) is an Austrian cyclist from RC Höchst .

Career

His career began at RV Lustenau. In 1998 he won the Austrian championship for students together with Claudio Grabher. The next year he switched to the juniors and already finished third in the first year together with Manuel Autengruber. In 2000 he finished second and in the following two years he won the juniors. He then moved to RC Höchst and from then on played with Dietmar Schneider in the first division. In the seven years with Dietmar, he stood on the podium in the Austrian championship every time and won five times. He also won five bronze medals at the World Cup .

He has been playing with Florian Fischer since the 2010 season . Together they won the first Austrian championship and finished second the following year.

From 2005 to 2013 he won the European Cup four times and the overall World Cup once .
