The 2014 cycling world cup was the 13th edition of the cycling world cup organized by the UCI . The tournament series began on April 5, 2014 and ended on December 6, 2014 on the occasion of the World Cup final in Großkoshen .

For the World Cup, three teams each from the four best nations of the last World Cup and two teams each from each of the two nations qualify in fifth and sixth place. A maximum of one team from all other countries is eligible to participate. In addition, there are the teams that can participate with a wildcard from the organizer.

The winner was the team RC Höchst from Austria with Patrick Schnetzer and Markus Bröll in front of the RC Winterthur from Switzerland and the SV Eberstadt from Germany.

World Cup points are awarded for each World Cup tournament. After all eight tournaments, the points for each team are added up and the eight teams with the most points go to the final. A team from Asia and the home team ( wildcard ) of the organizer will also play in the final .

World Cup Final

The ten teams are divided into two groups of five. Within a group everyone plays against everyone once. Then the fifth placed in the two groups play for 9th and 10th place, the two fourth placed for 7th and 8th place and the two third placed for 5th and 6th place. The winners of the two groups play in the semi-finals against the second placed in the other group for a final place. The losers of the two semi-finals play for 3rd and 4th place and the two winners for the overall World Cup victory.
