European cycling championship

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Radball European Championship is one since 1967 of the UCI being transmitted Radball tournament of the elite. Until 2014, the event was held under the name of the Radball European Cup . European teams can qualify for the European Cup via the national cup. Ten teams compete in two groups at a one-day tournament in spring.

mode

Two teams from each of the three best European nations according to the last World Cup are eligible to participate . One team from each of the following three nations is eligible to participate. Which teams are allowed to contest the European Cup is then decided by the national cup. The last team is nominated by the organizer by wildcard .

The ten teams are divided into two groups of five. Within a group everyone plays against everyone once. Then the fifth placed in the two groups play for 9th and 10th place, the two fourth placed for 7th and 8th place and the two third placed for 5th and 6th place. The winners of both groups qualify for the final round. In the final round everyone plays against everyone again, whereby the results from the preliminary round are taken over and these games are not played again.
