Jürgen King

Jürgen King (born March 4, 1963 in Lauterbach ) is a German cyclist and multiple world champion in cycling . He played for the club RSV Blitz Lauterbach .

The brothers Jürgen and Werner King from Lauterbach near Schramberg continued the tradition of the German bike ball from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s and, as representatives of the "Lauterbach School", followed in the footsteps of their forerunners Karl and Oskar Buchholz . It was the Buchholz who brought the world title to the small Black Forest town from 1961 to 1964. In 1994 Jürgen King resigned from his active cycling career. The Federation of German Cyclists (BDR) appointed Jürgen King as national coach in 2001 .
