Medieval Church of St. Laurentius

Dorlisheim ( Alsatian : Dorelse ) is a French commune with 2,647 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ) near the French-German border.

The car manufacturer Bugatti Automobiles has its factory here, in which, among other things, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 was manufactured.

Dorolsham was first mentioned in documents in 735 .

From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Dorlisheim belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Molsheim district in the Lower Alsace district .
