Dangolsheim is a French commune with 723 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region ( Alsace until 2015 ).

The Kehlbach flows through the community. Neighboring communities of Dangolsheim are Soultz-les-Bains in the north and east, Mutzig in the south, Dinsheim-sur-Bruche in the south-west and mountain areas in the west and north-west.
history
758 the place is mentioned for the first time under the name Danckratzheim .
Dangolsheim was an imperial village .
During the French Revolution , Dangolsheim was a village in the Bailliage de Haguenau , the Ballei around Haguenau .
From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Dangolsheim belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Molsheim district in the Lower Alsace district .
From 1992 to December 31, 2007, Dangolsheim formed the Communauté de communes des Villages du Kehlbach with Bergbieten and Flexbourg, based in Dangolsheim. On January 1, 2008, she joined the Communauté de communes de la Porte du Vignoble with the other two municipalities , which in turn became part of the Communauté de communes de la Mossig et du Vignoble in 2017 .

Economy and Infrastructure
The municipality is largely used for agriculture , especially for viticulture . The Alsace Wine Route runs through Dangolsheim .
Attractions
The church of St. Pankratius ( Saint-Pancrace ) essentially has three construction phases: the tower dates from the Romanesque period, the choir from the 16th century is Gothic and the nave in neoclassical style dates from 1843. Valuable parts of the Equipment is no longer available here: a reredos is in the Strasbourg Cathedral and the Dangolsheimer Madonna, a major work of the Rhenish Gothic, is in the Bode Museum in Berlin.
