Rangen is a French commune with 198 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region ( Alsace until 2015 ). The community belongs to the Communauté de communes de la Mossig et du Vignoble .
Neighboring communities of Rangen are Zeinheim in the northeast, Willgottheim in the east, Hohengœft in the south, Zehnacker in the west and Knœrsheim in the northwest.
history
Rangen belonged to the Communauté de communes des Coteaux de la Mossig , which was founded in 1992 and which was merged into the Communauté de communes de la Mossig et du Vignoble in 2017 . On January 1, 2015, the municipality moved from the Arrondissement of Saverne to the Arrondissement of Molsheim and at the same time from the Canton of Marmoutier to the Canton of Saverne.
