Fouday ( German Urbach ) is a French commune with 341 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Northern Vosges area in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ).
history
The village in the Steintal is known in German literature through Büchner's story Lenz .
On January 1, 1975, the municipality merged with Waldersbach , Belmont and Bellefosse to form the municipality of Le Ban-de-la-Roche . Since January 1, 1992, Fouday has been independent again and since January 1, 2000 a member of the Communauté de communes de la Vallée de la Bruche .
