Natzwiller (German: Natzweiler ) is a French commune with 542 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) with the character of a scattered settlement in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ) in the Vosges . The valley, a side valley of the Bruche valley , is called Vallée de la Rothaine .

history

During the Second World War , Natzwiller was the location of the Natzweiler-Struthof concentration camp . Remains of this only concentration camp located in France are still in existence today.
